Carlos G. Stecco is a highly experienced and uniquely qualified medical malpractice trial attorney. Mr. Stecco brings to his clients over a decade of medical malpractice experience and knowledge.  There are many attorneys that claim they are qualified to represent victims of medical negligence, but there are precious few attorneys that can claim their experience from defending doctors and hospitals. In this day and age, pursuing a medical malpractice claim against either a physician, a hospital or other medical provider is a tremendously expensive and difficult undertaking.  It takes significant financial resources, a keen understanding of the malpractice landscape, and most importantly, a very thorough knowledge of the intricate field of medical negligence combined with a thorough understanding of the proper strategy to win your case in court.  The knowledge obtained from defending doctors and hospitals for over a decade cannot be minimized nor overstated, for it is this highly specialized knowledge that allows Mr. Stecco to be an integral part of litigation teams that consistently win multi-million dollar cases in Maryland and Washington D.C.  It is this knowledge that he brings to bear on all medical negligence cases that he accepts for representation.

Mr. Stecco's experience defending medical negligence cases began as a medical malpractice claims handler for one of the most prominent malpractice carriers on the east coast.  He prepared and handled malpractice cases from inception to trial for almost five years.  Subsequently, a world-renowned health care institution, Johns Hopkins Hospital, took notice of Mr. Stecco's work and hired him to provide counsel and defense advice to its doctors, nurses and other medical providers.  While with Johns Hopkins Hospital, Mr. Stecco was also responsible for the in-house management of medical negligence cases.  As Johns Hopkins' in-house defense attorney, Mr. Stecco provided legal advice to the Hospital and its doctors, nurses and other medical providers.  Mr. Stecco also conducted risk management presentations to both new and seasoned physicians, and was appointed to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Risk Management Committee.  Having thoroughly learned the defense book of medical malpractice claims, Mr. Stecco left Johns Hopkins Hospital when he was offered a position in the litigation department of one of Maryland's oldest and largest defense firms, with over 200 attorneys.  During that time, the focus of his practice was primarily on defending medical negligence and other personal injury matters for insurance companies and large corporate defendants.

Mr. Stecco later joined a specialized, highly respected malpractice litigation firm where his practice was initially involved in the successful defense of multi-million dollar medical malpractice cases in Maryland and Washington D.C.  After several years, Mr. Stecco decided to focus his efforts on helping injured victims and began to practice exclusively on the representation of individuals injured as a result of medical malpractice and other negligence matters.  Mr. Stecco then joined Robinson and Associates where he brings his vast knowledge and medical malpractice experience to bear on the pursuit of medical malpractice claims on behalf of victims that are seriously hurt at the hands of medical professionals.  Mr. Stecco's extensive time spent defending medical malpractice and other personal injury cases has provided him with a unique perspective, that few malpractice attorneys can claim, which has proven to be invaluable in helping injured persons and their loved ones attain the best possible results in their cases.

Mr. Stecco graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law where he was selected to serve as a member of the Moot Court Board.  He obtained his undergraduate degree in Finance from Loyola College.  Presently, Mr. Stecco is licensed to practice law in all Maryland State and Federal Courts, as well as State Courts in Washington D.C.  Mr. Stecco has also appeared in courts in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, New York and Texas.  He maintains active offices in both Maryland and Washington, D.C. accepting cases in medical negligence and catastrophic personal injury matters.  Mr. Stecco proudly serves as an appointee of Governor O'Malley on the Judicial Nominating Commission of Maryland for Baltimore County where he assists in the selection of Maryland's judges.
